14 April 2009 - 09:00 CET

BMW selects CEVA as its preferred Australian logistics provider

Melbourne, Australia, 14 April 2009 - CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain companies, today announced that it has been awarded a new contract for the management of warehouse operations for the German car manufacturer, BMW. The contract applies to BMW's southern operational region of Australia and will see CEVA manage the receipt, storage, inventory and dispatch of service parts to BMW car dealerships in Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and West Australia.

BMW has set its sights firmly on the premium sector of the Australian automotive market through its BMW and MINI motor vehicles, and is committed to providing the very highest in quality for all its products and services.

The signing of the new contract extends CEVA's relationship with BMW Group, Australia. This follows the award of an earlier contract in October 2007, in which CEVA was selected to manage the warehouse operations for BMW's northern operational region (New South Wales, the ACT, Queensland and Northern Territory) from a purpose built 12,500 square metre distribution centre at Moorebank, New South Wales.

Managing Director for CEVA Australia, Howard Critchley said that "CEVA will now be able to provide a truly integrated national solution to further drive and improve service to BMW car dealerships across the country."
