CEVA Logistics and Grundfos renew contract

16 April 2009 - 12:55 CET

CEVA continues to provide spare parts logistics in Europe and outbound flows globally

Almere, April 16, 2009 - Grundfos, one of the world's leading pump manufacturers with an annual production of close to 16 million pump units, and CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain management companies, have signed a new contract for spare parts logistics support. The spare parts relate to the full range of Grundfos products. CEVA's Site in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, will continue to act as European Distribution Center for the spare parts flows to Grundfos' European and intercontinental customers.

Grundfos is the largest manufacturer of circulator pumps, covering approximately 50 per cent of the global market. The organization also manufactures normal and submersible pump motors, develops controls for various systems and state-of-the-art electronics for monitoring.

The partnership between CEVA and Grundfos started in 2004 and encompassed warehousing services for the spare parts, handling of inbound flows into Europe and preparation of the outbound flows. "Over the past years, CEVA has proven to be a valued partner in our joint efforts to develop and improve supply chain solutions for our spare parts business. This has resulted in faster and more reliable spare parts deliveries to our customers" comments Lars Petersen, Group Senior Vice President Supply Chain Management of Grundfos.

"CEVA is very pleased to continue logistics support for Grundfos" says Pierre Girardin, Managing Director of CEVA Logistics for the France, Benelux & Nordics region. "Spare parts logistics is all about providing an excellent, reliable and flexible operation. I think our colleagues at the CEVA Site in Eindhoven did a great job in that respect and played a major role in this contract renewal."
