CEVA Logistics extends business with Ricoh in Spain and Portugal

The new contract adds spare parts logistics activities to the current finished goods operationBARCELONA, Spain, 21 October 2008 - CEVA Logistics, one of the leading supply chain companies in the world, has announced the signing of a new contract in Spain with its customer Ricoh Europe Supply Chain Management (SCM) B.V, the global leader in digital office solutions. CEVA who is already the 3PL service provider of the SCM Finished Goods and Supplies business will also be in charge of the Spanish Service Parts Satellite Warehouse. This new operation, located at CEVA Spain site in Subirats, includes warehousing, cross-dock, spare parts and reverse logistics.
The Spanish satellite warehouse is currently the first to delivers also cross-border for Ricoh. Field service engineers and Ricoh dealers get their service parts supplies in Portugal too. Giuseppe Chiellino, CEVA Logistics Spain Managing Director said that "In our industry, the extension of activities is undoubtedly the greatest recognition that we can get from a customer: This new contract confirms that Ricoh values to rely on a logistics partner that demonstrates proven capabilities in realizing solutions fitting its needs and ensuring seamless continuity of its business and service to its customers."
