Dubai, UAE, 6 May 2009 - CEVA Logistics, one of the world's leading supply chain companies, has partnered with Iqdam International, the exclusive Middle Eastern agent of Crocs shoes - famous for its colorful footwear - in order to manage the manufacturer's logistics services in the region. CEVA will handle inbound freight from Asia, product distribution and the management of a strategic hub in the Middle East on behalf of the footwear company. Activities will be carried out at the CEVA warehouse in the Jafza region of Dubai, where 1700 m² of the facility will be dedicated to Crocs' 480,000 pairs of shoes each year.As part of its expansion plans into the Middle East, Crocs required product shipment efficiency and reduced costs across its supply chain operations. CEVA has redesigned Crocs' entire supply chain and developed a bespoke set of Key Performance Indicators to ensure efficiency in the delivery of products to its network of distributors.
"CEVA's goal is to offer flexible solutions that are tailored to the individual needs of each customer, enabling them to achieve excellence in services and increased sales," commented Gianfranco Sgro, President for the South Europe, Middle East and Africa at CEVA. "Crocs' decision to partner with CEVA for the management of their logistics activities in the Middle East is recognition of our ability to satisfy the requirements of specific sectors, such as fashion."
