CEVA Logistics signs partnership with Rolls-Royce Marine AS - Diesels

CEVA Logistics today announced that it has further strengthened its position in logistics for the Industrial sector in Western Europe by signing a five year contract with Rolls-Royce Marine AS - Diesels, a subsidiary of Rolls-Royce Plc.

Rolls-Royce Marine AS - Diesels has a world leading position in the design, development, supply and support of diesel and gas-engines and propulsion systems for commercial and naval customers worldwide as well as power generation solutions.

Through its business unit in the Benelux, CEVA Logistics will perform the role of lead logistics provider to coordinate supply chain management for the Rolls-Royce Marine AS - Diesels' plant in Bergen, Norway.

CEVA will handle the inbound flow of engine parts to the plant in Bergen and the outbound flow of completed engines and spare parts worldwide. For these activities, CEVA has teamed up with J. Martens, the long standing expert in sea, air and road freight, located in Bergen.

The combination of CEVA Logistics and J. Martens ensures ‘Local Support & Global Coverage' which is critically important for Rolls-Royce Marine AS - Diesels.

According to the terms of the agreement, CEVA will assist Rolls-Royce Marine AS - Diesels over the next years in the optimization of its worldwide supply chain and in driving supply chain costs down. It is both the intention of Rolls-Royce Marine AS - Diesels and CEVA Logistics to extend the scope of services to include Value Added Services like kitting, sub-assembly, line feeding and inspection, as well as developing other geographic areas to support Rolls-Royces future growth.

The agreement builds upon the existing partnership between CEVA Logistics and Rolls-Royce in the UK and the US. This business extension emphasizes CEVA Logistics capabilities in the Industrial sector.
