TNT Logistics has successfully secured a contract to handle Renault's key logistics activities and spare-parts distribution in Brazil. With these activities, TNT Logistics becomes Renault's main logistics service provider in Brazil. TNT Logistics will handle the reception of materials, storage and internal supply to production lines. According to TNT Logistics' director Carlo Rosa, this new step highlights the trust Renault places in TNT Logistics by outsourcing strategic operations necessary for its growth in Brazil.

The partnership between Renault and TNT Logistics started in September 2000, when TNT Logistics became responsible for production logistics at Renault's utility vehicle plant. TNT Logistics believes in strengthening its partnerships with existing customers as a successful strategy, providing the logistics company with the possibility of taking on further responsibilities in the customer's logistics chains.

TNT Logistics excels in the automotive sector providing specialist sector expertise and skills. This partnership further reinforces TNT Logistics' successful efforts in the automotive sector in Brazil, establishing the company as the leader both in production logistics and spare parts as well as accessory distribution in the country.

According to Renault's Industrial Logistics Manager Patrick Cure, many factors led to the choice of TNT Logistics, following a careful analysis of performance and other criteria. He highlights the fact that TNT Logistics is a global company providing high-quality services; he also noted the team's dedication during the negotiations to obtain the contract. "TNT Logistics' structured approach and the strict day-to-day monitoring of operations were also fundamental in our choice", he concludes. Renault also works together with TNT Logistics in other parts of the world.
