TNT Logistics Brasil receives award for social responsibility work
03 December 2002 - 14:34 CET
TNT Logistics' investment in social responsibility has just earned the company two awards: the Transporte Moderno magazine and the AutoData magazine both recognised the company as one of the Brazilian companies that invested most in social responsibility in 2002.
The awards refer to the project "Art in All Parts", that has taken the Giramundo Group shows to public squares in Brazilian states. Giramundo is a renowned puppet theatre group from the state of Minas Gerais. Its performances, oriented to less favoured communities, take place on a stage mounted over a TNT truck. The project made its debut in March in the city of Betim (MG) - TNT head office in Brazil - and has already visited Curitiba, São José dos Pinhais (PR), Joinville (SC) and more recently, São Paulo.
This year, Autodata magazine, which awards companies in the automotive sector, decided to place greater emphasis on social responsibility. The award was given on November the 28th at the Torres Buffet, São Paulo. "Such recognition was given to an action that has been one of TNT's investment priorities. We truly believe in this project which aims to take fun and culture to children in various regions of the country", states the company marketing manager, Emília Valtudes.
This is not the first time that TNT is recognised by Autodata magazine. During 2000 and 2001, the magazine elected TNT as the best logistics company in the country, with the AutoData award in the Logistics Group Supplier category. Another title given to TNT was the Autodata Tribute - Company of the Year in the Automotive Sector (in 2001), for being the company that earned the highest number of points among winners in each category.
The "Art in All Parts" project was also recognised by the Transporte Moderno magazine, which gave TNT the social responsibility award this last November the 26th at the Blue Tree Convention Hotel, in São Paulo. This same magazine had already awarded TNT as the "Best Logistics Operator in Brazil" in 2001.
