TNT Logistics Italy and Gruppo UniCredito Italiano triple their partnership

TNT Logistics Italy, Italian leader in integrated logistics and Gruppo UniCredito Italiano, the first Banking Group in Italy, triple their partnership with an agreement that entrust TNT Logistics Italy with the whole management of storage, preparation and distribution within Italy of all treasury items (stationery and printed material, such as forms for payment etc) of Gruppo UniCredito Italiano and subsidiaries, UniCredit Banca, UniCredit Private Banking Spa and UniCredit Banca d'Impresa Spa, for the next three years .UniCredito Italiano has chosen to entrust TNT Logistics Italy with the logistics connected to treasury material supply activities for 3.100 branches and agencies/bank counters within national territory, thus confirming its trust in TNT competence already consolidated in the previous 5-year services offered to Credito Italiano.
Thanks to the relaunch of this agreement for the next three years, the partnership between TNT Logistics Italy and UniCredito Italiano will reach up to 8 years.
UniCredit Banca, born from the merger of 7 major banks already present in Italy, represents one of the top national Bank Group.
The project developed by TNT allowed Gruppo UniCredito to operate all logistics services even during the merger of the 7 banks, thus ensuring flows separated management during transfer period.
Thanks to the closing of this agreement which triples sales revenue volume from € 0,7 to € 2 millions per year, TNT Logistics Italy becomes leader in the management of bank treasury material within the Italian market.
Gianfranco Sgro, Managing Director of TNT Logistics Publishing and Industry Division, says: "It's an important agreement through which TNT Logistics becomes the main referring point for Gruppo UniCredito Italiano, the first Banking Group in Italy. The reconfirmation and development of existing partnership testify the quality, competence and value added offered by TNT Logistics in former years thanks to its ability to manage all integrated logistics processes through dedicated and high value added services thus ensuring high and efficient service standards as for time and quality on an ongoing basis".
Altogether, TNT Logistics will handle 60.000 shipments per years totaling 600.000 packages on behalf of UniCredit Banca, with deliveries to 3.100 points all over Italy and high value added services (kitting activities; customized deliveries to all UniCredit Banca's branches, agencies and bank counters with delivery at floor, urgent or according to planning and in the historic centre).
All logistics-distribution activities will concentrate in TNT new logistics pole in Piacenza: an about 10.000 s.q. m. and 12-meter-high area; a modern and efficient plant as regards infrastructure (cross docking structures, a series of doors for a smooth and flexible flow management, state-of-the-art information systems) as well as its strategic location (the pole is located a few kilometers from the entrance of A1 motorway).
