TNT Logistics Italy signs five-year agreement with Embraco Europe

TNT Logistics Italy has signed an agreement for managing all logistics activities in Italy for Embraco Europe, international operator in refrigeration systems.
This contract, annually worth about € 4,1 millions on a five-year basis, states that Embraco Europe will outsource to TNT Logistics Italy the management of under mentioned activities:
- Suppliers' components collection
- Internal handling (material receiving, warehouse management and production line feeding)
- Finished products warehouse and distribution
This new and important contract develops from previously achieved agreements entrusting TNT Logistics with the management of Embraco main logistics operations in Brazil (January 2002) and the transport of components and finished products to/from Italy through Embraco plant in Spissà Novà Ves, Slovakia (April 2002).
Embraco Europe - company belonging to Brazilian Embraco Group, specialized in innovative solutions in refrigeration systems and worldwide leader in airtight compressors (25% market share and annual production capacity exceeding 23 million compressors), having plants in Brazil, Italy, Slovakia, China and commercial bureaus in United States and Singapore - has identified TNT Logistics as its worldwide logistics partner, able to support its international development and optimize logistics flows.

In Italy, TNT Logistics, present since 1994, is led by President Fausto Forti, and operates in main industry and distribution sectors: automotive, fast-moving consumer goods, textile, electronics, telecommunications and publishing sector, just to name a few. It has a turnover of above € 900 millions per year with some 6,000 employees in more than 100 logistics centers dedicated to 300 contracts.
