Continuing its excellence in automotive logistics, TNT Logistics North America has won two of the automotive industry's top honors in 2002, Chrysler's Gold Award and Ford's Q1 Award.
The coveted Chrysler Gold Award is presented to logistics companies whose outstanding overall performance is among the highest rated by Daimler Chrysler. This is the second straight year TNT Logistics North America has earned the Award. In addition to the Gold Award, TNT Logistics North America has earned DaimlerChrysler's Pentastar in 1990 and 1991, as well as DaimlerChrysler's Gold Pentastar Award in 1993 and 1997.
Following its winning the Gold Award, TNT Logistics North America's Jacksonville, Florida operation of Ford's truckload business won that company's Q1 Award, the highest honor for Ford preferred suppliers. The Q1 Award recognizes suppliers that have achieved a sustained level of excellence in customer satisfaction, while meeting systems and results requirements in Quality, Delivery, and Management. In addition, suppliers must have endorsements from Ford's key customers and meet Ford-defined performance metrics.
"We are pleased to have earned the top awards of these two prestigious companies," said Jeffery Hurley, Managing Director and COO of TNT Logistics North America. " It demonstrates that we are successful in our striving to exceed customer expectations."
TNT Logistics North America has served many of DaimlerChrysler assembly plants since 1988, and currently provides a variety of network transportation and plant support logistics activities in Brampton Ontario, Chatham Ontario, Portage Indiana, and Nashville Tennessee. The company provides transportation services to Ford in Canada and the United States.
The winning of Chrysler's Gold award and Ford's Q1 Award continues a tradition of excellence for TNT Logistics North America in the automotive industry as the company has also won in recent years Honda's "Premier Partner" Award and General Motors "Supplier of the Year" Award.
