TNT Logistics North America selected as Investor in People

TNT Logistics North America, a leading provider of supply chain logistics services, has been selected for the Investor in People (IiP) Standard by Investors in People UK and the International Quality Centre (IQC). IiP is an internationally recognized standard in training and human resource development, similar to international standards in quality, safety, environmental, technology, accounting, and other functional areas of business.IiP assessors from the IQC visited 22 sites operated by TNT Logistics North America in the United States and Canada. They interviewed a sampling of more than 330 TNT employees. What they saw and heard was a story of a company at its very best. The award is company wide, not site specific, and TNT Logistics North America is one of the first companies in the U.S. to attain this certification.
This follows on TNT Logistics North America's announcement in March that it has begun implementing an internally-developed management system that is compliant to established industry quality standards. That system, named EQS for the company's environmental, quality and safety initiatives, provides the structure and tools needed to ensure TNT's operations achieve operational excellence, maintain a safe work place and have a responsible impact on the environment.
"We are proud to receive this certification," said Mark Johnson, senior vice president of shared services, TNT Logistics North America. "Only a select number of organizations have made the commitment to achieving this high standard for human resource development, and we're pleased to be included in that circle."
